Yamaha has launched the Yamaha R15 V5 in India and this new version is next level to its very popular series 2 min apart. Now this latest generation has an aggressive design and all the modern features you would expect together with a high-performance engine that offers more refinement for not only younger riders but also for those who seek style as well as speed.
Design & Styling
The Yamaha R15 V5 carries forward the supersport-inspired design language of brand Yamaha with even more aggressive body panels, aerodynamic fairing and a dedicated sporty riding stance. Now, it comes with revised LED headlamps, daytime running lights and striking tank design along with new dual-tone colour options and premium graphics. The red looks even more menacing than before, and I was glad to have the little bike on president Conway’s photoshoot so that I could see it from other angles.

Engine & Performance
Concerning powertrains, the R15 V5 is anticipated to carry forward the same 155cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, fuel-injected engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) that delivers about 18.4 PS and 14.2 Nm of torque. Mated to the engine is a 6-speed gearbox with an assist & slipper clutch which enables the rider for smoother up-shifts and also offers better control during hard downshifts. Performance is still pretty good for a city ride as well as on a highway run.
